PHASE ONE
Getting Grounded
Linkages to land, service, and our Métis Citizens will be the anchors throughout the program. In addition to honouring Métis Foundational Themes, this first phase includes a combination of virtual and in-person career exploration, including community & industry connections, and training certifications as required by industry and to complement Advanced Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems (RPAS) training
PHASE TWO
Preparing for Flight
This second phase delves into the world of RPAS training and will be delivered in an engaging online classroom led by industry experts at IN-Flight Data. This intensive portion of the course will focus on key knowledge, skills, attitudes, including test-taking resources to support each participant in successfully achieving the Transport Canada test required for the flight review which will take place in Phase III.
Taking Flight
PHASE THREE
Hosted at Métis Crossing, and anchored in cultural and land-based teachings, Advanced Flight Training will be offered in-person, by IN-FLIGHT Data, along with Transport Canada flight reviews to secure Advanced RPAS Pilot Certification. Learners will spend 4 days working with RPAS tools provided by IN-Flight Data, with the final day dedicated to Flight reviews and program graduation ceremony.

This specialized drone training program combines self-study, instructor-led online courses, and hands-on Remotely Piloted Aircraft System (RPAS) training. Participants of this challenging program will complete:
Basic and Advanced RPAS training
Federally-required knowledge to legally operate a drone/RPAS in Basic or Advanced environments in Canada
Land-based cultural connection
Industry-related safety training
Career-development workshops to secure employment with newly acquired certification
Connection to community and industry
